BTS Jungkook, who took his first steps as a solo artist, revealed that his goal is to become a 'big pop star'.

On the 20th, Weverse Magazine published an interview with Jungkook, who released his solo song 'Seven'.

Jungkook said, "I was always the youngest member of the team. Now I'm releasing a solo song, and now that I'm alone, I feel different when I'm working. When people see me, I feel responsible for what I do to them and the center of thought is different. There are a lot of things I have to decide, and I can't avoid it by saying 'I don't know'." He continued, "I didn't come first on the team, but now there are many things I have to do or can do. I think I naturally changed."

In a recent Weverse Live, Jungkook said, "I will trust my feelings and try. It may lead to failure later, but I just try to trust myself." Regarding this, Jungkook said, "I only have a big goal of becoming a huge pop star, but I don't have any thoughts of showing a concept next time." He continued, “I didn’t plan ‘Seven (feat. Latto)’ in advance, but PD Bang Si-hyeok played the song, and I liked it so much that I said, ‘Oh, I have to do this unconditionally.’ I’ve sorted out how to envision my activities,” he said. Also, “This is also a sense. Doesn’t everyone have something like that? to do," he laughed. He continued, "What's amazing is that good songs are good, even if the genres are different. Of course, I released it because I liked it, but I might get a bad reaction, but I've never had that. I think I've lived that way all along. , In the past, I think it was just a sense of not knowing anything. So rather than thinking a lot, I want to do something that attracts me.”

When asked if he is still a huge pop star, Jungkook replied, "No. I don't think so." He said, "Isn't it greed? Greed to want to be recognized more and do better? Isn't it simple and cool? That's why I'm doing this job now." I think that's the kind of pop star I was when that happened."

Regarding Seven's performance, he said, "I like it to be natural, and I also wanted to lose some strength. I made the decision after receiving various choreography drafts, but I wanted to be a little lighter in terms of performance. I wanted to set my own point of difference. At the same time, I felt a little heavy. I wish I could add 'Oh, look at that friend' when people see the stage. It makes me feel a little bit like this."

Regarding the reason for the change in the singing method, he said, "I think it's okay to listen to it now. It's not repulsive, it's not excessive. When recording, I naturally find a feeling that suits each song. When singing, if there is a technically difficult part, 'How should I sing it? ' There are times when it is difficult while doing it, but in the end, I think I sing naturally.” Also, "This time, while recording, it seems that there is something to be done within a short time. I wonder if there are a little more details when singing English songs. I think I learned what to do, and I think I learned how to call it.” Regarding the reason for the change, he said, "It was fun at first," and "I changed the recording method." He was also satisfied, saying, "Keep singing without any other work in the middle, and if something good comes up, say ok and sing it again. If you need a chorus, make it right on the spot and sing it. I liked that the work process was very fast."

In the lyrics of 'Seven', there is a part that says 'carry the weight of this world on your shoulders'. When asked how he feels now that he is standing on stage alone, Jungkook said, "Because I am alone, I feel more pressure than when I was in a team. But since my personality has changed a lot, I think the way I accept it has changed. Maybe it happened," he laughed.
