Actress Han Ji-min has once again demonstrated her positive influence through charitable actions.
According to her agency, BH Entertainment, Han Ji-min donated 50 million KRW to the international relief organization JTS in celebration of Children's Day on the 5th. The donation will be used to support children suffering from hunger worldwide and to expand educational opportunities in areas of need.
Her efforts extend beyond financial contributions. On May 2nd, Han Ji-min actively participated in a street fundraising event held in Myeongdong, Seoul, engaging with citizens and supporting the campaign.
Han Ji-min's charitable activities have been ongoing since 2007. She has participated in street fundraising events every Children's Day and year-end, and even when events were canceled due to heavy rain, she continued her good deeds by donating 50 million KRW through online fundraising.
The campaign is a joint effort by JTS and the artist volunteer group 'Gilbut,' aiming to support children in war, disaster, and poverty-stricken areas. 'Gilbut' has been conducting street fundraising activities annually ahead of Children's Day since 2004.
Han Ji-min is also a member of the Hope Bridge Honors Club, a group of high-value donors. She previously donated 50 million KRW for wildfire relief in Ulsan, Gyeongbuk, and Gyeongnam, and contributed 100 million KRW to support low-income patients at Seoul National University Children's Hospital, consistently practicing philanthropy.
Meanwhile, Han Ji-min is currently filming the Disney+ series 'Koreans.' The series is a Korean reinterpretation of 'Americans,' set in 1990s Seoul. Han Ji-min is set to showcase a transformation in her acting by playing the role of North Korean spy Yoon Hwa-kyung.
