On October 3, a current lawyer, identified as A, took to social media to claim they were a victim of school bullying during their school years, specifically naming Kook Dong-ho. A stated, "I was bullied by the popular kids during school," adding, "Kook Dong-ho, who was the boyfriend of the main bully B, would publicly confess to me in front of others, including his girlfriend, and laugh about it."
A further expressed, "I heard he quit his professional job after appearing on 'Single's Inferno' and is now living as an influencer," and lamented, "While he was on the show, I was living in hell." A also detailed incidents where B placed thumbtacks on their chair during breaks and glued their locker shut, claiming Kook Dong-ho, a well-known bully at school, was aware and enjoyed it.
A questioned, "One lives as an influencer, and the other works at a law firm representing victims like me. How long must victims endure?" adding, "It's my role to quietly work as a lawyer for victims."
A continued, "Kook Dong-ho's agency has already called, claiming they don't know me. Of course, they wouldn't. Do perpetrators remember their victims?" and requested, "Anyone who knows about Kook Dong-ho being a notorious bully in the area, please send me a direct message."
In response, Netflix stated on October 4, "This is not something we can verify." Kook Dong-ho's side has also not released an official statement. Kook Dong-ho, a certified public accountant from Korea University, gained recognition after appearing on Netflix's dating show 'Single's Inferno 4' last year.
