Mnet is set to launch a new girl group debut program.
On the 1st, Mnet announced the launch of 'Girls Planet 2' (working title) and began recruiting participants. The production team behind the 'Planet Series' is coming together once again.
The new journey of the 'Planet Series', which has previously produced groups like 'Kep1er' and 'ZEROBASEONE', is about to begin. Global online applications have started, and auditions will be held at major locations worldwide, including on-site auditions at KCON JAPAN 2026 and KCON LA 2026.
'Girls Planet 2' is open to anyone born before January 1, 2013, who dreams of debuting in a global girl group. Applicants can participate regardless of nationality or residence. Applications will be accepted starting May 1 at 8 AM, and both individual trainees and those affiliated with agencies or with previous debut experience can apply.
The production team of 'Girls Planet 2' stated, "The sight of girls from different backgrounds coming together to chase the same dream, transcending language and cultural barriers, will be more brilliant than ever. We hope this project becomes the brightest start for many girls with unique charms and potential to step onto the global stage, and we eagerly await and support their courageous challenges."
Mnet's 'Girls Planet 2' is scheduled to air in 2027.
