Former speed skating national team member Lee Sang-hwa has shared some heartbreaking news.

On the 28th, Lee posted on her Instagram story, "Pika, have you arrived well at the star?" along with a photo.

In the photo, Lee is seen looking up at the clouds in the sky, asking about her late pet dog. She expressed her heavy heart, saying, "I suddenly looked up at the sky and saw the clouds you are running on."

Lee continued, "It seems like you're reassuring me that you're no longer in pain, that you can walk alone, and that you can run around," adding, "I hope you are born as a human in your next life."

Previously, Lee had shared about her pet's illness and health condition. On the 1st, she wrote, "It seems like there's not much time left," and "Even though you're in pain, you don't show it. You must have a strong spirit like me." She later announced on the 27th that Pika had passed away.

Pika, Lee's pet dog, was known to have lived with her during her training period in Canada before being brought to Korea. They spent a long time together since her athlete days.

Meanwhile, Lee Sang-hwa married singer Kangnam in 2019. The couple does not have children. They share their everyday life with fans through their YouTube channel, interacting with netizens like any other couple.
