According to the French music association SNEP, BTS's fifth studio album 'ARIRANG' has achieved platinum certification, signifying sales of approximately 100,000 units. While this achievement is not unfamiliar to BTS, the speed at which it was accomplished is noteworthy.

'ARIRANG' reached platinum status in just about a month, a stark contrast to their previous albums 'MAP OF THE SOUL: 7' and 'Proof', which took over a year to achieve the same certification. This indicates a significant increase in consumption speed in France, suggesting that BTS's music is more accessible in the streaming and digital consumption-driven music market.

This achievement signals BTS's growing popularity not only in the North American market but also in Europe, particularly in France. While their popularity was once limited to a dedicated fanbase, streaming services have now made BTS a part of the mainstream French cultural scene.

The fact that a song released years ago is still achieving certifications indicates that BTS's music has become a long-term consumption content rather than a one-time hit.

With this, BTS has achieved their 17th platinum certification, setting a new record for K-pop artists. The significance goes beyond mere numbers, as BTS is achieving success in different ways across various markets. In France, they are recognized for rapid consumption, while in Japan, they maintain their presence through long-term streaming.

In North America, BTS continues to demonstrate their overwhelming influence through live performances. Their 'ARIRANG' world tour, which kicked off in Tampa on the 25th, sold out every show, further solidifying their multifaceted global impact through album sales, streaming success, and powerful live performances.
