Actor Ahn Hyo-seop's comeback drama after four years, 'Sold Out Again Today,' recorded a 3.7% viewership rating for its second episode.
The second episode of SBS's Wednesday-Thursday drama 'Sold Out Again Today,' which aired on the 23rd, depicted the story of Matthew Lee (played by Ahn Hyo-seop), a farm owner hiding his identity, and Dam Ye-jin (played by Chae Won-bin), who needs the farm owner's contact information. The episode achieved a 3.7% viewership rating in the metropolitan area, with peak ratings reaching 4.9% (according to Nielsen Korea). This is a slight increase compared to the 3.3% rating of the first episode aired on the 22nd.
The episode began with the relationship between Matthew Lee and Dam Ye-jin getting off to a rocky start due to unexpected traffic congestion. As Dam Ye-jin relentlessly pursued her goals, their relationship became more strained. Mistaking Matthew Lee for a farm worker, Dam Ye-jin asked him for the farm owner's contact information after spotting the white flower mushroom she had been searching for among the items loaded on Matthew Lee's tractor.
Not wanting to get involved with Dam Ye-jin, Matthew Lee cleverly hid the fact that he was the farm owner and lied that the owner was unavailable. He even shut the farm gate in Dam Ye-jin's face to keep her out.
However, their connection was rekindled thanks to Song Hak-daek (played by Go Doo-shim), a key figure in Deokpung Village. Song Hak-daek, who struggled with online shopping, asked Matthew Lee to place a home shopping order, and when she won an event, Dam Ye-jin personally delivered the goods to Deokpung Village.
Taking this opportunity, Dam Ye-jin tried again to obtain the farm owner's contact information from Matthew Lee, but was met with rejection. The situation escalated when Matthew Lee mistook Dam Ye-jin for a thief after she accidentally climbed over his house's fence while chasing a runaway chicken from Song Hak-daek's house, leading him to call the police.
Despite the setbacks, Dam Ye-jin was determined not to give up. With the live broadcast advertisement for the Letual store opening at the Hit Home Shopping building, she was resolved to obtain the farm owner's contact information for her team.
Dam Ye-jin visited Matthew Lee, who was tending to the mushrooms overnight, and earnestly requested a meeting with the farm owner. Unaware that Matthew Lee was the owner, she was impressed by his meticulous care for the product quality, which fostered a sense of trust and camaraderie.
With newfound confidence, Dam Ye-jin declared her intention to proceed with the Letual store's live broadcast. Viewers are eager to see if Matthew Lee will entrust his precious mushrooms to Dam Ye-jin and when she will discover his true identity.
Meanwhile, a late-night call from Dam Ye-jin to Matthew Lee left him bewildered. As he tried to understand the situation, Dam Ye-jin, mistaking him for her mother, burst into tears, raising curiosity about the repercussions of this mistaken call.
