During the show, Moon candidly discussed her battle with 'acute compartment syndrome' and the subsequent recovery process.
Moon explained the condition as an emergency disorder where pressure builds up in the fascia surrounding the muscles, cutting off blood flow.
The trouble began when she left her swollen arm unattended for a day after slipping on an icy road. At the hospital, the doctor warned, "This can't be treated with a cast. An MRI is needed immediately," highlighting the severity of the situation.
The test results revealed that Moon had missed the 'golden time,' and necrosis might have started, necessitating immediate emergency surgery. To prevent recurrence, her wound was left open, wrapped in bandages more than five times the size of her arm.
The rehabilitation process was equally challenging. Moon confessed, "I cried alone in the underground parking lot when diagnosed that my finger nerves might not recover," fearing she might never act again.
Moon dedicated a year to rehabilitation. After seven months post-surgery, her fingers began to move slightly as she worked tirelessly to revive the dead nerves. She shared, "Now, all my nerves have recovered, and I can use my muscles," updating fans on her healthy return.
