On the 21st, the 'Celeb-In' channel released a video titled 'Kian84 Donates $1 Million to Elderly Paper Collectors'.
This charitable act involved selecting a specific number of individuals to receive equal amounts of money. Ju Geung-jeong explained, “In collaboration with Seodaemun District Office and the Community Chest of Korea, we provided 1 million won each to 100 elderly individuals who collect waste paper.”
He added, “Kian and I have continued this type of donation several times, always contemplating how to make a real impact.” He also mentioned, “By showcasing this process as content, we hoped to engage more people.”
Ju Geung-jeong noted, “Kian has been involved from the planning to the execution stages of the donation,” highlighting the ongoing nature of their efforts. Kian84 shared his thoughts on giving, stating, “Knowing where the donation goes makes it more rewarding and motivating. It was enjoyable.”
The video also captured Kian84 personally visiting the elderly recipients. One recipient expressed, “Hearing about receiving 1 million won in my lifetime is rare. I am very grateful,” to which Kian84 responded, “Stay healthy and receive more blessings. Meeting you makes me happy.”
After distributing the donations, he remarked, “Meeting them in person feels different. I am grateful for the opportunity to do meaningful work every year. Donating instills a sense of pride. I hope everyone can experience pride and fulfillment through good deeds.”
Ju Geung-jeong shared, “I was always curious about the emotions donors feel, and through this experience, I understood the joy of giving.”
Previously, Kian84 donated a total of 60 million won to 60 children in an orphanage, giving each child 1 million won.
Meanwhile, he has also shared his past experiences living in a semi-basement through his 'Life84' channel. He later gained attention for purchasing a building in Seokchon-dong, Songpa-gu, Seoul.
