Actor Jung Woo unveils the OST 'Question' for the film 'Jjanggu', which he personally performed.
According to the OST production company Curious Studio, the song 'Question', sung by Jung Woo for the movie 'Jjanggu' (directed by Jung Woo and Oh Seong-ho/produced by Pan Entertainment and Doo-jung Films), will be released on various online music platforms at 6 PM on the 22nd.
'Jjanggu' is a film that realistically portrays the intense audition challenges and survival journey of Jjanggu (played by Jung Woo), who dreams of becoming an actor. Jung Woo wrote the screenplay, co-directed, and starred in the film, garnering attention even before its release as a continuation of the story from the movie 'Wind'.
The song 'Question' enhances its lyrical atmosphere by combining a retro and vintage pop ballad sound from the early 1980s with Jung Woo's straightforward voice. It offers warm comfort to youths standing at the daunting threshold of adulthood, reminding them that even times of wandering are part of the journey towards their destination.
This OST was produced by music director Park Seong-il, known for his delicate musical world in works like 'My Mister', 'Itaewon Class', and 'The Sound of Your Heart'. His direction, which translates fleeting emotions into sound, completes a well-made OST that connects with the film's sentiment.
Jung Woo has shown his deep affection for the project by participating in all aspects of his directorial debut 'Jjanggu', including writing, directing, acting, and singing the OST. He is expected to leave a lasting impression on audiences by vividly building the emotional arc of the protagonist Jjanggu.
Selected for the 'Korean Cinema Today - Special Premiere' at the 30th Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) and the competition section of the 4th Yokohama International Film Festival, 'Jjanggu' will be released on the 22nd.
