On the 22nd, the 'Lim Young-woong' channel shared his itinerary in Sapporo, Japan.
In the video, Lim Young-woong turns on the camera and announces, “Today, I am in Sapporo. Some people have arrived earlier, so the car is already rented, and I just need to get in,” marking the start of his journey.
The visit had a special purpose. He revealed, “My family is currently traveling in Japan, and tomorrow is their last day. So, I planned to surprise them by appearing unexpectedly on their final day.”
A hide-and-seek-like time ensued to avoid running into his family.
Lim Young-woong expressed his nervousness, saying, “I need to stay hidden in the accommodation until dinner time when I reveal myself.”
He added, “I want to explore too, but I might get caught by the kids, so I should stay put in the accommodation for now.”
Interestingly, it was revealed that his mother knew about the secret.
He shared, “Actually, my mom knows because I accidentally told her. She kept asking to meet, so I jokingly said, ‘See you in Japan,’ and she caught on. I decided to make her an ally.”
After much preparation, his surprise appearance delighted his family. The production team announced it as a “gift,” and his grandmother expressed her joy by hugging her grandson, while Lim Young-woong showed affection with playful gestures.
His mother and the rest of the family welcomed him with bright smiles. His grandmother, in particular, exclaimed, “Is this a dream or reality?” and danced with joy, saying it felt like a “second birthday.”
The family then enjoyed a meal together, sharing stories late into the night over drinks.
Later in the afternoon, he left the accommodation, admitting, “Life doesn’t always go as planned. I drank a lot with the elders, and my siblings can drink well too. I slept in, and now it’s this time,” as he continued his leisurely schedule.
Lim Young-woong’s gesture of prioritizing family amidst his busy schedule left fans with another warm memory.
