Actors Noh Jae-won and Lee Hyo-je Embrace Transformations for Netflix Series 'Girigo'

Actors Noh Jae-won and Lee Hyo-je have revealed their unique preparation process for the Netflix series 'Girigo'.

On the 21st, a highlight screening and press conference for the Netflix series 'Girigo' was held at CGV Yongsan I'Park Mall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Jeon So-young, Kang Mi-na, Hyun Woo-seok, Lee Hyo-je, Noh Jae-won, and director Park Yoon-seo.

'Girigo' is a Netflix series that tells the story of high school students who receive a sudden death prediction due to the curse of an app called 'Girigo', which grants wishes. The students struggle to escape the curse.

Noh Jae-won plays the role of 'Bang-ul', a witty shaman who assists Hae-sal (played by Jeon So-young). He described his character as "a shaman, but not quite a capable one," and mentioned, "I tanned and practiced mind control to achieve a tough image." He added, "I sought advice from a shaman teacher and tried to find my own sense and intuition in a field I was unfamiliar with."

Lee Hyo-je also underwent a physical transformation for his role. He shared, "The director suggested I gain weight, so I increased my weight by about 20kg." He continued, "Although I was given enough time, it wasn't easy as I don't gain weight easily." He added, "It was challenging, with blood sugar spikes during filming, but I did my best for the character."

The Netflix series 'Girigo' will be available on Netflix starting on the 24th.
