In a subsequent interview, Park Ji-hoon expressed gratitude for the film's achievement, ranking second in Korean box office history, stating, "I am thankful for the immense love received," while adding, "I try to stay grounded and live as usual." He also shared his thoughts on the reunion of Wanna One for the reality show 'Wanna One Go: Back to Base,' describing their time together as "a dream-like period."
Park chose his next project, 'The Legendary Cook,' set to premiere simultaneously on TVING and tvN on May 11, due to his well-known interest in military stories. He found the military theme intriguing and attractive, especially as the narrative expands into the realm of 'cooking.' However, the primary reason for his choice was "the script being very entertaining," expressing his anticipation.
Reflecting on his experience with webtoon-based projects, Park noted, "There are elements unique to webtoons that differ when adapted into video," and emphasized his approach of "focusing on capturing the core elements of the character rather than perfectly recreating the webtoon."
Previously, Park starred in the 2024 KBS2 drama 'Fantasy Sonata,' which unfortunately recorded a low viewership rating of 1.4%. He is now returning to the small screen with 'The Legendary Cook,' an original TVING production that will also air on tvN, an unusual move.
Park Ji-hoon's exclusive photo shoot and full interview, along with digital content, can be found in the May issue of 'Singles' and on their official website. The 'Singles' Japan May issue is available at Daikanyama Tsutaya Bookstore and Tsutaya T-SITE in Japan, and can also be purchased through online bookstores.
