The group CORTIS is making a comeback with the release of their mini album's title track 'REDRED'.
CORTIS, consisting of members Martin, James, Juhun, Sunghyun, and Gunho, will unveil the new track 'REDRED' along with its music video on various music platforms and official channels at 6 PM on the 20th. This track serves as the title song for their upcoming mini album 'GREENGREEN', which is set to be officially released on November 4th, and is being pre-released ahead of the album.
'REDRED' symbolizes the values the team aspires to with 'GREEN' and the elements they caution against with 'RED', as expressed in the lyrics. The song is characterized by electronic sounds and a repetitive beat, focusing on an unstructured sound composition. The members concentrated on enhancing the texture of the song, drawing from ideas that originated from the group.
The album sees the members actively participating in the overall production of music, video, and choreography content. All members are credited on 'REDRED'. They worked on the song during a songwriting camp in Los Angeles, USA, and contributed their ideas throughout the production process, including the music video, performance planning, and album photo shoots.
CORTIS's debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' achieved a record-breaking sales figure of 2,069,663 copies according to Circle Chart as of the 4th, marking the highest sales for a K-pop debut album. The market response to the new release is also positive. According to distributors YG Plus and Universal Records, pre-orders for the mini album have surpassed 2,024,836 copies as of the 16th.
