With the recent global success of 'Bloodhounds 2', Hwang expressed his pride, saying, "It's really fulfilling to see it continuously ranking number one. I gave my best during filming, so it makes me even happier." He highlighted the action sequences as the main attraction of 'Bloodhounds 2', noting, "It's boxing-based action, which is rare to see. The difficulty level is very high, and the actors really pushed themselves to the limit."

The fact that the action scenes were filmed without stunt doubles caught attention. Hwang emphasized, "All the action was performed by the actors themselves. We didn't slow down for the camera; we shot at real speed." He added, "The hits to the body were real. During filming, adrenaline keeps the pain at bay, but bruises appear afterward."

Hwang admitted to feeling the pressure of the action scenes, saying, "It was my first time doing action, so the pressure was immense. The existing actors set a high standard, which made me even more anxious." To prepare, he underwent about five months of training, spending "2-3 hours a day, sometimes up to 4 hours, at action school," continuously preparing until filming began.

He cited the fight scene with Jung Ji-hoon as the most memorable action sequence. Hwang explained, "The flow of action was crucial in that scene, so there was a lot of pressure to maintain quality. We practiced repeatedly until we were out of breath before shooting." He added, "Ji-hoon kept pushing, saying, 'Let's go one more time,' and we kept repeating 'again, again' until we finally got the okay."

Hwang also discussed his character Yoon Tae-gum, describing him as "a man who loses his wife and is burdened with debt." He reflected, "Even a good person can crumble under continuous hardship." He aimed to portray the character not as a simple villain but as a weary and lethargic human being.

Hwang approaches his work differently, stating, "I tend to monitor rather than enjoy the work. I watch alone and constantly think, 'What if I had done this differently?'" When asked about his group 2PM, Hwang shared, "We've never had physical fights among the members. Instead, when someone says, 'Let's talk in the room,' it makes us reflect on the past six months," he laughed, adding, "After the talk, it usually ends with three hours of chatting, emphasizing our teamwork."

Regarding his goals for 2026, Hwang answered calmly, "It's similar every year. I hope to see some progress, even if it's just one or two things." He added, "It would be even better if that process could be conveyed to people."
