On October 16, SLL's YouTube channel 'GOGOSING' released the second episode of the web variety show 'Yoseob's Modern Things'. This episode, themed 'All About Freeze-Drying', humorously captures the journey of 2nd generation idol Yang Yoseob and popular creator Anunu as they explore the quirky trends of the MZ generation.
Meeting YouTuber Anunu at a cooking studio for a one-day class, Yang Yoseob dives into a 'taste update' by sampling freeze-dried snacks that have taken social media by storm. From 'Doojonku' to 'Earth Jelly', he reacts with surprise to the unfamiliar textures created by freeze-drying alchemy, captivating viewers with his diverse reactions.
Particularly, his humorous professionalism shines as he loses energy from the overly sweet snacks and desperately seeks coffee, yet continues the mukbang with flair once the camera rolls. His adaptability, earning him the title of 'sound effect expert' for his unique descriptions of crunchy sounds, brings laughter.
The next course was a 'cryotherapy' experience, enduring extreme cold of about -120 degrees Celsius. Enticed by the claim of burning up to 1,000 calories in just 3 minutes, Yang Yoseob enters the machine shirtless, shivering yet humorously stating, "If I sing now, the vibration comes naturally," showcasing his unmatched variety show skills. After enduring the 3 minutes, he insightfully comments, "It's a perfect method for today's young generation who value time and cost-efficiency, allowing quick calorie burning."
After experiencing the extreme cold, the duo headed to a sauna for 'thawing'. Replenishing energy with essential sauna snacks like roasted sweet potatoes, Yang Yoseob confidently entered the high-temperature room, only to quickly retreat, humorously expressing the accumulated heat damage. Moving to the rooftop trampoline area, he displayed his old skills with flair, but soon collapsed in exhaustion, turning the scene into a laughter-filled moment.
Most notably, his genuine interaction with citizens stood out. Approaching citizens he met at the sauna without hesitation, he engaged in cheerful interviews, enhancing the atmosphere. Dubbed 'Eoltnam' (a trendy face) by a citizen, Yang Yoseob expressed heartfelt gratitude, saying, "I'm truly happy and thankful to personally enjoy various trending content."
