Kim Do-hyung of the band Jannabi has been named 'Artist of the Month' for April.
TenAsia recently conducted a vote through the global voting service platform Top Ten TenAsia to select the 'Artist of the Month - April Birthday Star.'
Kim Do-hyung, who celebrates his birthday in April, received a significant number of votes, earning him the title of April's Artist. The voting took place from March 10 to March 23.
Born on April 17, 1992, Kim Do-hyung is the guitarist for Jannabi. The band was formed by childhood friends Kim Do-hyung and Choi Jung-hoon, both born in 1992, along with other members. They appeared on Mnet's survival audition program 'Superstar K 5' in 2013 and officially debuted in the music industry the following year with the single 'Rocket.' They gained public attention through appearances on shows like 'Yoo Hee-yeol's Sketchbook' and 'Immortal Songs.'
Jannabi, with Kim Do-hyung, has released hit songs such as 'For Lovers Who Hesitate' and 'Summer Night, You and I.' Kim actively participates in composing and arranging, contributing to the unique musical identity of Jannabi.
The band continues to prove their prowess as a live band through performances and festivals, successfully engaging audiences with their solid live skills and mass appeal. Kim Do-hyung enhances the depth of their music with his guitar playing.
On the 14th, Jannabi appeared as guests on SBS PowerFM's 'Cultwo Show.' During the show, they performed live renditions of their hit songs. YB Band's Yoon Do-hyun, who was a guest DJ, commented, "These days, there's a lot of post-production, but performing live shows confidence." Choi Jung-hoon added, "That's what bands are about. Live performances should naturally be without post-production." Kim Do-hyung played the guitar and provided backing vocals alongside Choi Jung-hoon during the live performance.
Kim Do-hyung continues to maintain Jannabi's distinct sound through his ongoing activities. As the Artist of the Month for April, there is growing interest in his future endeavors.
