Korean performance artist and singer Poppin Hyun Joon, whose real name is Nam Hyun Joon, has shocked fans by revealing his hospitalization due to a tumor with potential to develop into cancer.
On the 15th, Poppin Hyun Joon shared several photos on his social media with the caption, "Poppin Hyun Joon, stay healthy." The images show him in a hospital gown, lying in a hospital bed with an IV drip. His wife, traditional Korean musician Park Ae Ri, is seen sitting on a makeshift sofa in the hospital room, attentively caring for him.
Poppin Hyun Joon explained, "Gastric adenoma is a benign tumor that forms in the stomach lining, but if left untreated, it has a high potential to progress to cancer, a precancerous condition." He humorously reassured concerned friends, saying, "I'm not dead yet," and "I'll be alive until you get here."
Previously, Poppin Hyun Joon resigned from his teaching position last year following allegations of inappropriate behavior, including using profanity towards students. At the time, he apologized on social media, stating, "I deeply regret creating a strict atmosphere with inappropriate behavior as an educator and unintentionally causing discomfort."
Poppin Hyun Joon is married to Park Ae Ri, and they have a daughter together.
