The '2026 Cable TV Awards', hosted by the Korea Cable TV Association, took place on the 15th at Hotel Naru Seoul MGallery in Mapo-gu, Seoul. 'Jeon Hyun-moo Project 2' (a joint production by MBN, Channel S, and SK Broadband) was selected as the winner in the variety category.
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the 'Cable TV Awards' is the only integrated awards ceremony in the domestic pay-TV industry, encompassing both SO (System Operators) and PP (Program Providers). 'Jeon Hyun-moo Project' is a real travel variety show where Jeon Hyun-moo and Kwak Tube explore hidden local eateries across the country without a set plan. The organizers stated, "We decided to award this show for delivering on-the-ground fun and emotion to viewers through its real food adventures with special guests and heartwarming stories."
First aired in February 2024, 'Jeon Hyun-moo Project' has reached its third season, uncovering numerous hidden culinary gems and gaining viewer affection. It was also published as a book last year, gaining popularity. Notably, it won the 'Fundex Data PD Award' at the '2025 Fundex Awards' last December, recognizing it as a significant work with increased buzz compared to the previous year.
Having been recognized for both its quality and popularity at prestigious awards for two consecutive years, 'Jeon Hyun-moo Project 3' will return to viewers on the 17th at 9:10 PM with a special tour of Seoul's backstreets.
