The top spot in the overall rankings was claimed by the tvN weekend drama 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea'. This drama dethroned JTBC's 'Efficient Dating for Singles', which had maintained the top position for six consecutive weeks but dropped to 7th place after its finale. 'How to Become a Building Owner in Korea' achieved the number one spot in both the overall and drama categories.
In the second week of April, the release of new weekend dramas sparked increased interest in the lead actors, which in turn boosted their related content rankings. Byun Woo-seok, who stars in '21st Century Grand Lady', also appeared as a new member on MBC's 'Hangout with Yoo', which ranked 4th overall (3rd in variety shows). His previous work, the tvN drama 'Escape with Seon-jae', entered the drama category at 5th place, showcasing Byun Woo-seok's influence across both drama and variety show genres.
The trend of revisiting previous works was also evident in TVING's original series. With the unveiling of 'Yumi's Cells Season 3' on the 13th, there was a surge in viewers revisiting earlier seasons, leading 'Yumi's Cells Season 2' to rank 4th and 'Yumi's Cells' to rank 6th in the drama category.
The variety show segment also showed strong performance. JTBC's 'Please Take Care of My Refrigerator since 2014', featuring Girls' Generation's Tiffany and Hyoyeon's refrigerators, maintained its position at 2nd overall (1st in variety shows). MBC's 'I Live Alone', which highlights the daily life of 14-year homebody Kim Shin-young, climbed six spots to 3rd overall (2nd in variety shows), marking the steepest rise this week. MBC's 'Manito Club' also newly secured a spot in the top 5 overall.
TVING's weekly content TOP5 is based on the weekly VOD viewership of dramas and variety shows available on the platform. TVING continues to expand its user base by offering a diverse range of original and popular broadcast programs, providing a unique entertainment experience.
