Gong Seung-yeon recently shared a humorous childhood story involving her sister, TWICE's Jeongyeon, on the YouTube channel 'TEO 테오'. The episode, part of the web variety show 'Salon Drip', featured IU, Byun Woo-seok, Noh Sang-hyun, and Gong Seung-yeon from the drama '21st Century Grand Lady'.
During the show, the actors discussed family stories. Gong Seung-yeon, who has two sisters, revealed that she often fought with her younger siblings. "I used to hit both of my younger sisters a lot," she admitted. "The sister right below me is close in age, so we fought a lot. If I hit her once, she'd hit me twice. Jeongyeon would try to break us up and end up getting hit herself," she recounted, sharing the playful sibling rivalry.
Gong also shared a story about being kicked out of her father's car. "It was winter, and I had taken off my shoes in the car. After I hit my sister, my dad suddenly stopped the car, opened the back door, and pulled me out. The car drove off, leaving me behind," she said, laughing. "I had to walk three bus stops home barefoot, thinking, 'I'm going to get you, Yoo Jeong-yeon!'"
Interestingly, this incident didn't happen when they were very young. Gong Seung-yeon confessed, "I think I was around 20 or 21 years old. I later reflected on how I hadn't matured even as an adult."
She added, "I apologized profusely because the next day, my sister had a shoot for the debut survival show 'Sixteen'. I accidentally hit her eye, and it was swollen. It was a big mistake."
MC Jang Do-yeon commented, "It's a relief she debuted," to which Gong Seung-yeon agreed, "It would have been terrible if she couldn't debut because of that." Jang Do-yeon added, "I enjoyed watching 'Sixteen'. I thought, 'Wow, that sister is so pretty and cares for her sibling.' I never imagined there was such a backstory."
