Netflix has released stills from its YA horror series 'Girigo'.
The series 'Girigo' follows high school students who receive sudden death predictions due to a cursed wish-granting app called 'Girigo'. The students struggle to escape the curse, and Netflix has unveiled 17 stills from the series.
The released stills capture the mysterious events that unfold when high school friends 'Se-ah' (Jeon So-young), 'Na-ri' (Kang Mi-na), 'Geon-woo' (Baek Seon-ho), 'Ha-jun' (Hyun Woo-seok), and 'Hyeong-wook' (Lee Hyo-je) discover the app 'Girigo', which grants wishes when users enter their birthdate and name.
The secret romance between 'Se-ah' and 'Geon-woo' and their innocent wish-making on the 'Girigo' app soon takes a dark turn as the app's hidden secrets begin to surface, drastically changing the friends' lives. Despite attempts to delete the app and reset their phones, the friends find themselves increasingly cornered, hinting at the ominous nature of the 'Girigo' curse.
Adding to the intrigue is 'Ha-jun's sister, 'Hae-sal' (Jeon So-ni), a shaman, and her assistant 'Bang-ul' (No Jae-won), who step in to break the curse. They conduct rituals and actively search for the curse's origin, each in their own way. The efforts of 'Se-ah', 'Ha-jun', 'Hae-sal', and 'Bang-ul' to lift the curse raise questions about the consequences of their wishes on 'Girigo'.
'Girigo' immerses viewers in the intense emotions of high school students entangled in a terrifying curse, promising fresh tension and excitement. The YA horror series 'Girigo' premieres exclusively on Netflix on April 24.
