Yoon Do-hyun is set to mark a significant change in his 30-year music career.
On the 13th, a YouTube content titled 'Meeting with Sung Si-kyung' featured a video called 'Yoon Do-hyun♥ It was so much fun talking about music after a long time!' In this episode, Sung Si-kyung invited Yoon Do-hyun for a candid conversation over food and drinks in a relaxed setting.
Sung Si-kyung eased the atmosphere by offering snacks he prepared himself, saying, "Feel free to eat while we chat," and Yoon Do-hyun, upon receiving a limited edition LP and gifts, laughed as Sung Si-kyung remarked, "Is this no longer available? This could be worth money."
Recently appointed as the MC for KBS's 'The Seasons' series 'Sung Si-kyung's Ear Boyfriend,' Sung Si-kyung shared, "After the first recording, we had a gathering until 5 AM. A third of my appearance fee went to the gathering expenses. It seems like this will happen every time." Yoon Do-hyun expressed surprise, "You'll become close with the staff. I only had about five gatherings in seven years."
Reflecting on his past as the MC of 'Yoon Do-hyun's Love Letter,' Yoon Do-hyun confessed, "I started as a substitute for Lee So-ra's spot. I was so bad at first that I kicked my blanket in frustration at home. I said I would quit every quarter." He continued, "I didn't understand the role of an MC and was fixated on 'honesty.' Later, I realized it was about connecting viewers with guests."
Yoon Do-hyun revealed that his broadcasting experience influenced his music, stating, "My ability to empathize has broadened. This has diversified my music themes. The biggest change is my expanded understanding of people." Sung Si-kyung agreed, "I can feel that you've become softer. That change seems to have positively impacted your music."
The two reminisced about their early days. Sung Si-kyung remarked, "It's amazing that you've maintained a band for 30 years," while Yoon Do-hyun added, "When I was a rookie, I told the producer, 'That guy is really great,' referring to you." Sung Si-kyung candidly shared, "Back then, I was also told I was 'rude and annoying' because I wasn't the type to grovel."
Regarding plans after YB's 30th anniversary, Yoon Do-hyun stated, "I plan to make changes at the 30-year mark. I will head in a different direction from our existing music." He continued, "The 30th-anniversary concert might be the last one fans can reminisce about. After this concert, I plan to take a break and work on new music, focusing on metal."
Finally, Yoon Do-hyun emphasized to fans, "In life, you never know what will happen. It's best to see the concert now. I hope you don't miss it." Sung Si-kyung jokingly asked, "Is that a threat?" and added, "Such a change is not an easy decision," offering his support.
