On Big Bang Daesung's YouTube channel 'Jipdaesung,' a video titled 'Handsome Dorahees' HYBE Tour' was uploaded.
In the video, TXT appeared alongside Daesung, exploring the HYBE building and reflecting on their 7th anniversary and life in the dorms.
Daesung praised Yeonjun, the eldest member, as a 'blessing to the team,' but Yeonjun humorously expressed frustration over being misunderstood due to his tough appearance, often being labeled as 'gangster-like.'
Huening Kai and Taehyun defended Yeonjun, stating that despite his appearance, he has a kind heart. They also shared a story of Yeonjun storming out of the practice room in anger, which turned the mood around. Beomgyu recalled it as the 'team's biggest crisis,' and Huening Kai added that if the conflict hadn't been resolved, even their contract renewal might have been uncertain.
The conflict stemmed from repeated dance mistakes. Yeonjun explained, 'When Soobin and Beomgyu kept making mistakes, the stress I had been holding in exploded.' He admitted to losing control, swearing, throwing his shoes, and leaving the practice room, cutting off contact for three days, shocking Daesung.
Despite this, Yeonjun showed responsibility by fulfilling all scheduled activities, including music show MC duties. Taehyun noted, 'If he were truly a villain, he would have skipped the schedule altogether.' Soobin confessed, 'I didn't realize Yeonjun was under so much stress,' while Beomgyu lightheartedly responded, 'I tend to forget bad memories quickly,' causing laughter.
The members also shared behind-the-scenes stories about their contract renewal with Big Hit Music last year. Soobin indicated that while the members quickly agreed among themselves, there were significant clashes during negotiations with the company.
They openly criticized HYBE's welfare and system. Beomgyu jokingly questioned the company's internal hospital system, suggesting it might be to prevent artists from going outside. Soobin revealed that minor pains don't excuse them from practice unless it's a severe injury like a broken bone. Taehyun added his experience of dancing with a fractured finger, and Beomgyu mentioned performing on a dome tour with a broken foot, highlighting the pressure to generate revenue.
Meanwhile, TXT is set to release their 8th mini-album '7TH YEAR: When the Wind Stops in the Thornbush' on April 13, marking the start of their activities. With the title track 'Stick With You,' they aim to showcase deep emotions. They are expanding their reach through various platforms like 'Amazing Saturday,' 'Salon Drip,' and 'Look Sam.' Additionally, on May 1, they will unveil a parenting reality show 'TXT's Parenting Diary' on Wavve, offering a warm and human side different from their stage persona.
