Actors IU and Byeon Woo-seok revealed some behind-the-scenes stories from their recent shoot on 'Salon Drip'.
On the 14th, the YouTube web entertainment show 'Salon Drip', hosted by Jang Do-yeon, aired an episode titled 'Prepare to Meet the Team of the Grand Lady of the 21st Century!' featuring IU, Byeon Woo-seok, Noh Sang-hyun, and Gong Seung-yeon, the main cast of MBC's '21st Century Grand Lady'.
The four stars showcased their unique energy from the start. IU commented on the filming atmosphere, saying, "It was comfortable because we are of similar age." However, it was revealed that Gong Seung-yeon, who was thought to be born in 1993, is actually an early 1993-born, leading to a humorous moment where she said, "I have friends born in 1992, but I don't want to feel uncomfortable."
IU shared, "I call everyone by their name with 'ssi' unless they are my younger sibling. I don't mind if someone younger calls me casually." This brought laughter to the set. Noh Sang-hyun admitted, "As time goes by, it's more comfortable with older friends," to which Byeon Woo-seok jokingly responded, "So we made you uncomfortable," causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Byeon Woo-seok and Noh Sang-hyun have known each other since their modeling days and share a mutual acquaintance in Joo Woo-jae. Byeon Woo-seok reminisced, "He seemed upright and had a standing image, which made him intimidating. He looked even cooler after returning from abroad." Noh Sang-hyun complimented Byeon Woo-seok, saying, "He is really tall and looks like a character from a webtoon."
Byeon Woo-seok and Gong Seung-yeon also mentioned their long-standing relationship, having been in the same agency for about eight years, describing it as "almost like family." They recalled the challenge of filming a waltz scene, saying, "It was hard not to laugh in a situation where we shouldn't."
The much-talked-about 'wall kiss scene' was also discussed. IU explained, "It was extremely hot. It had to look fresh despite the heat." Byeon Woo-seok added, "Our noses touched, leaving marks on our cheeks." IU revealed that the kiss scene took a long time to film, and when Noh Sang-hyun asked, "How many times did you kiss?" she replied, "Countless times," drawing attention.
IU praised Noh Sang-hyun, saying, "He is sexy," while Byeon Woo-seok joked, "He was so sexy that I forgot my lines. His eyes are sexy when he jokes," causing laughter.
