On the 13th, a press conference for the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Scarecrow' was held at The Saint in D-Cube City, Guro-gu, Seoul. The event was attended by actors Park Hae-soo, Lee Hee-jun, Kwak Sun-young, and director Park Joon-woo.
'Scarecrow' is a crime thriller that follows a detective investigating a series of murders who unexpectedly teams up with someone he despises. The drama is inspired by the real-life Hwaseong serial murders that occurred in Gyeonggi Province from September 15, 1986, to April 3, 1991.
Park Hae-soo takes on the role of detective Kang Tae-joo, who is relentless in his pursuit of truth and justice. Park described his character as "like a stone, constantly striving to solve cases and often breaking, but always getting back up." He added, "Though he may seem frustrating at times, his resilience is what makes him a captivating character."
Regarding the drama's basis on real events, Park admitted, "I was scared when I first read the script." He continued, "Knowing there are victims and their families, I felt a responsibility to approach the project with sincerity. Everyone on set, from the staff to the actors, prepared with genuine dedication."
Park concluded by saying, "While the drama carries weight and intensity, I hope viewers will enjoy unraveling the mystery with us. The process of finding the culprit is incredibly intriguing. I encourage everyone to tune in and share their thoughts on the drama."
'Scarecrow' premieres on the 20th at 10 PM.
