Actress Lee Tae-ran shared a moment of deep empathy with her character's emotional journey.
On the October 12th episode of TV Chosun's 'Gourmet Road with Heo Young-man', Lee Tae-ran explored the culinary delights of Hongseong.
Having debuted in 1997, Lee Tae-ran is approaching her 30th anniversary in the entertainment industry next year. Heo Young-man inquired about her current activities, asking, "What does it mean that you're doing theater these days?"
Lee Tae-ran introduced her play, 'Pink Lipstick', as a story about an ordinary family. It portrays a touching narrative of a daughter-in-law who reconciles with her mother-in-law, who has dementia, by understanding her as a fellow woman.
This play marks Lee Tae-ran's return to the theater stage after 21 years. She shared, "There's a scene where the character is distressed because of her son and cries out in frustration. Every time I perform it, I feel sad. Although I don't have children, I can deeply understand a mother's heart."
Lee Tae-ran married businessman Shin Seung-hwan, who is the same age as her, in March 2014, and they do not have children.
