A sound glitch occurred during the online live streaming service at 'Coachella'.
On April 11th, Taemin took the stage at the 'Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival' in Indio, California. Performing on the Mojave Stage, Taemin engaged with the audience for 50 minutes starting at 11:30 AM.
During the performance of 'IDEA', a sound transmission error occurred. Just as Taemin shouted "Let's go!" to hype up the crowd, the sound cut out for 8 seconds, leaving the audience in silence. Even after the sound resumed, issues persisted with crackling and popping noises. It took approximately 1 minute and 45 seconds for the sound to return to normal, effectively disrupting the entire song.
The glitch happened at a peak moment of the performance, affecting the audience's immersion. This incident highlights the importance of technical management in shaping the overall impression of a performance, regardless of the artist's execution.
Taemin is set to perform again at Coachella on April 18th. This year's Coachella lineup includes other K-pop artists such as Cats Eye and Big Bang.
