In a recent interview, Kwon Hyuk, who appeared in the MBC drama 'In Your Glorious Season', shared insights about his career. Dressed neatly, he calmly discussed his experiences.
'In Your Glorious Season' is a romantic drama about Chan (played by Chae Jong-hyeop), a man who lives every day like an exciting summer vacation, and Ran (played by Lee Sung-kyung), a woman who has confined herself to winter. They meet by fate and awaken frozen time. In the series, Kwon Hyuk plays Yeon Tae-seok, who quietly harbors feelings for Song Ha-young (played by Han Ji-hyun), the granddaughter of Kim Na-na (played by Lee Mi-sook), the head of Na-na Atelier.
Reflecting on the first time he received the script, Kwon Hyuk said, "The roles I've taken on recently have been dark and intense, so I naturally longed for a project that felt more human." He added, "While filming 'In Your Glorious Season', I felt like the world became more colorful. It was a happy experience."
Kwon Hyuk made his debut in the 2020 JTBC drama 'Elegant Friends' and has since built his filmography with roles in MBC's 'Be a Meal', Disney+'s 'Tyrant', TVING's 'Love Law of the Big City', and Netflix's 'Bad Connection'. When asked about the most memorable actor he worked with, Kwon Hyuk mentioned, "Cha Seung-won, who starred in 'Tyrant', left a lasting impression."
He recalled, "We filmed in Andong in January, during the middle of winter. It was so cold that our bodies felt frozen, and many scenes were shot at night. Despite the harsh conditions, Cha Seung-won was incredibly passionate. He delivered new performances every time, regardless of the weather or environment." He continued, "His ability to enjoy acting as if it were a game was impressive. It was palpable on set. He was genuinely cheerful, which made him unforgettable," he said with a smile.
