BTS launched their new world tour under clear skies, following a rainy opening day. The group, consisting of RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook, performed at the Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium on the 11th as part of their 'BTS WORLD TOUR 'ARIRANG''. The tour, which began on the 10th, will continue in Goyang until the 12th.
The concert kicked off with performances of 'Hooligan', 'Aliens', and 'Run BTS'. After the opening, Jungkook greeted fans, noting the improved weather compared to the first day, which was marked by heavy rain. He assured fans, "It might still be cold, but we'll heat things up for you."
In an effort to showcase something new, BTS prepared a 360-degree stage for this concert. V expressed his excitement, saying, "It's been a while since we've done a 360-degree performance. It feels great to be surrounded by ARMY." Jimin added, "It's been four years since our 'ARIRANG' album and six and a half years since our last concert tour. We've tried new things with the album and the tour. I hope everyone enjoys it." Suga also mentioned, "We've prepared a lot to show new stages with rearrangements."
The world tour will cover 34 cities across Tokyo, North America, Europe, South America, and Asia, with a total of 85 performances, marking the most extensive tour by a Korean artist. Additional shows are planned in Japan and the Middle East, expanding the tour's scale. All 46 performances, including the three in Goyang, Tokyo Dome, and tours in North America and Europe, are sold out. Notably, BTS will be the first Korean artists to hold solo stadium concerts in some North and South American regions.
After meeting fans in Goyang for three days, BTS will continue their tour at Tokyo Dome on the 17th and 18th.
