K-pop singer Seo In-young has captured the hearts of fans by revealing her genuine daily life and a family story she kept hidden for 30 years.
On the 9th, a video titled “Seo In-young's Stepmother Revealed for the First Time in 30 Years (+Tiger Dad)” was uploaded on the 'Reformed Seo In-young' channel.
Previously, Seo In-young had confessed that her parents divorced when she was in third grade, and she had lived with her stepmother since childhood.
In the video, she opened up her family home for the first time and expressed her heartfelt gratitude towards her stepmother while heading to her parents' house with the production team.
Seo In-young said, “The word stepmother makes me sad. It's not a bad thing, but there's a strange atmosphere around the word 'stepmother.' I want to change that.” She continued, “I grew up well, and my stepmother really put in a lot of effort,” expressing her gratitude.

Having recently gone through personal pain (a divorce), Seo In-young expressed her sincere feelings to her stepmother, who cared for them so much that she wanted to attend the funeral of Seo In-young's biological mother when she passed away.
Upon arriving at her family home in Gapyeong, Seo In-young warmly hugged her stepmother with a big smile, spreading warmth. Seo In-young's mother also shed tears recalling the difficult times Seo In-young faced due to controversies.
Her mother expressed her affection, saying, “I think it would be nice to show your honest self, not a fake one,” and Seo In-young agreed, saying, “I want to be more honest, which is why I'm doing this (YouTube).”
The video surpassed 1.79 million views in just one day and received over 9,000 comments, garnering explosive reactions.
