Pop superstar Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce are set to wed on July 3rd in New York City.
According to Page Six, the couple has sent out 'Save the Date' cards, confirming the wedding date and location. Initially, the ceremony was planned to take place near Swift's Rhode Island estate, but the venue was changed to New York to accommodate more guests and expand the scale of the event.
The wedding date, July 3rd, is significant as it falls just before Independence Day, a holiday cherished by Swift. This year marks the 250th anniversary of America's founding, drawing even more attention to their New York City wedding.
Swift's special connection to New York is also highlighted. In 2014, she purchased and renovated a penthouse in Tribeca, sparking interest as she continued to acquire properties in the area. She also released the tribute song 'Welcome to New York' in 2014 and served as the city's Global Welcome Ambassador from 2014 to 2015, promoting the city's value.
Swift and Kelce began their public relationship in the summer of 2023 and announced their engagement in August of last year. After over a year of dating, the couple will officially become husband and wife this summer in New York.
