Im Sung-jae shared photos and videos on his social media featuring Song Joong-ki. Known as a golf enthusiast, Song donned the iconic white boiler suit caddie uniform and a green cap, symbolic of the Masters. He took the tee shot at the 9th hole (135 yards), a highlight of the event, confidently swinging a 9-iron. As the ball veered left, Song clasped his hands in a prayer-like gesture. The ball landed in the rough, and Song, appearing both disappointed and amused, glanced at the camera.

Im Sung-jae and Song Joong-ki reportedly met in 2021 during a meal with mutual acquaintances. Song also attended Im's wedding in 2022 as a guest.

The R&A, known for setting golf rules worldwide except in the Americas and hosting the oldest golf tournament, The Open, is an international golf organization. Song Joong-ki collaborates with the R&A in various social contribution activities through golf, supporting underprivileged communities, and encouraging aspiring golfers to pursue greater challenges.
