In 2024, Lee admitted to illegal gambling, revealing that he had incurred an overwhelming amount of debt in the process. It was reported that several acquaintances from the entertainment industry were among those he borrowed money from. Following this, he took responsibility and halted all broadcasting activities.

Lee was sent to the prosecution without detention in September last year for participating in illegal online gambling multiple times. In the same month, he was also charged with drunk driving (violation of the Road Traffic Act) for driving approximately 100 km from Incheon to his home in Yangpyeong County, Gyeonggi Province. Additionally, in December last year, it was revealed that he had defaulted on about 28.84 million won in national health insurance premiums since April 2023, drawing criticism.
