HWASA Returns with New Single 'So Cute' After Six Months
HWASA is set to release her new single 'So Cute'.

The singer is making a comeback on the 9th, approximately six months after her mega-hit 'Good Goodbye', which was released on October 15 last year.

Teaser images featuring HWASA in a whimsical atmosphere, either with a blank expression against a backdrop of children playing with recorders and hula hoops or showcasing an elegant charm in a fedora and polka dot dress, have heightened curiosity.

Based on snippets from the music video teaser, 'So Cute' is expected to be a lively dance-pop track. The lyrics were penned by HWASA and her label head PSY, while HWASA and her collaborator Park Woo-sang composed the music.

As 'So Cute' is unveiled on various online music platforms at 6 PM, HWASA expressed her thoughts on her comeback, introduced her new song, and conveyed gratitude to her fans through her agency, P NATION.

[HWASA Q&A]

Q. How do you feel about releasing 'So Cute' six months after 'Good Goodbye'?

▷ I worked hard to repay the love from my fans. I hope everyone enjoys the new song.

Q. Can you introduce 'So Cute' and explain why you chose this title?

▷ I felt that small, seemingly insignificant cuteness can be a source of strength in our dry daily lives. Even if it seems lacking, it can melt a frozen heart. Happiness is really nothing special. 'So cute! That's enough!'

Q. 'So Cute' has a different charm from your previous songs. Was there a special reason for this style?

▷ I have various sides, and I felt fatigued from always telling intense stories. Nowadays, I want to share my quiet thoughts.

Q. You participated in writing and composing 'So Cute'. What was your focus during the process?

▷ The song started from fear. As I naturally age and learn more, I sometimes feel childlike fear. I wanted to express moving forward with a small, cute ray of light amidst confusion.

Q. You co-wrote the lyrics with PSY. How did that collaboration come about?

▷ I struggled with the English lyrics, but after discussing with him, we were able to cleanly organize them on the spot.

Q. 'Good Goodbye' was a mega-hit in your solo career. Did you feel any pressure with this comeback?

▷ Not at all. I believe 'Good Goodbye' is a song that can't be written twice, and I'm grateful for capturing it well. I'm approaching the next chapter with a fresh start.

▷ The hardest part is when I have no stories to tell. I just want to live my life and share various stories.

Q. You're preparing for solo activities, MAMAMOO activities, and a world tour this year. Any message for your fans?

▷ Finally. At last!!!!! I've missed you.

Q. You're set to perform at 'Rock in Rio' in Brazil this September. How do you feel about performing there?
