BTS's Jungkook Apologizes to Fans for Controversial Live Stream Remarks

BTS member Jungkook has issued an apology to fans following a controversial live stream where he used profanity.

On the morning of October 8th, Jungkook went live on the fan communication platform Weverse. During the broadcast, he addressed the recent incident, saying, "I feel I need to apologize to ARMY (BTS's fandom) for my recent live stream."

He continued, "I'm not sure if what I did was a big mistake. I'm not a public figure, and people on platforms like YouTube use such expressions. However, since I haven't shown that side of myself before, I think it might have made some ARMYs uncomfortable. I apologize to those who felt uneasy and will try to restrain myself." He added, "I don't want to say much to those who are quick to criticize. Thank you for your attention. If I get sued, that's not my concern."

Jungkook expressed, "I want you to know how I feel about ARMY. I've always been sincere. I can't claim to be a perfectly good and righteous person, but I've always been genuine with you (fans). That's why I wanted to apologize. Even I don't know where I'll end up. I won't commit crimes or do bad things, but as a human, it might happen sometimes. If something makes you uncomfortable or seems wrong, please point it out. I'll see it and accept it."

He further explained, "I don't think I did anything wrong. What's wrong with it? Many people actually liked it. I don't think it's wrong, but since there are diverse ARMYs, I want to apologize to those who might have felt uncomfortable."

Jungkook reiterated his stance, saying, "This will probably get edited and uploaded. These days, edits are quite sensational. I didn't swear at ARMYs; I could have said it to a friend. Of course, it might be uncomfortable to do it in front of a camera, but there are many celebrities who swear on camera. So, I don't think it's wrong."

Meanwhile, on February 26th, Jungkook went live on Weverse around 3 AM and interacted with fans for about an hour and a half. During the live stream, he was under the influence and made headlines for suddenly making obscene gestures and using profanity towards a friend, sparking controversy.
