WJSN's Dayoung has emphasized that their comeback track 'What's a Girl to Do' is distinct from their hit song 'Body'.
On the 2nd, Dayoung held a round interview at Starship Entertainment's headquarters in Gangnam, Seoul, to commemorate the release of her digital single 'What's a Girl to Do', where she met with TenAsia.
During the interview, Dayoung stated, "Many might expect our comeback to be a sequel to the hit 'Body'. However, we didn't prepare it that way. Just like in movies, even if a sequel is well-made, it often can't surpass the strong first impression and expectations set by the original." She added, "Before releasing 'Body 2', I wanted to showcase a different style with another great song. I believe that when 'Body 2' eventually comes out, more people will listen to it, which is why we strategized this way."
When asked about the release of 'Body 2', Dayoung humorously remarked, "We're aiming for a summer release. But as someone who's learning about the ways of the world, I think it can only come out if this comeback does well."
Dayoung participated in writing and composing all the tracks on this album, which includes the title track 'What's a Girl to Do' and the song 'Priceless (kaching kaching)'. The title track captures the emotions between excitement and hesitation that anyone who's fallen in love can relate to.
Meanwhile, Dayoung's digital single 'What's a Girl to Do' will be available on various music sites on the 7th at 6 PM.
