Kim Ryang-ha, one half of JYP Entertainment's first duo group Ryang Hyun Ryang Ha, has revealed that he is unaware of the whereabouts of the $2 million he earned during his career.
On October 6, the YouTube channel 'Byungjin's Brother' uploaded a video titled '[Thank You] Did Ryang Hyun Ryang Ha Lose All the $2 Million They Earned?!'.
In the video, Kim Ryang-ha, the younger twin, shared, "Park Jin-young set up a 50-50 contract, so we earned as much as he did," adding, "Even as elementary school students, the earnings were deposited separately under each of our names."
He continued, "My father withdrew the settlement money in cash and kept it. After I returned from the military, my father suddenly passed away from a heart attack. I thought he was saving it to give me when I got married, but now its whereabouts are unknown," he confessed. He added, "I was too scared to bring up the settlement money with my father. I thought he would take care of it, but he passed away. I couldn't ask my mom either, and she said my dad never told her."
Despite this, he maintained a positive outlook, saying, "Everyone in the country knows how I worked, so I live with that mindset."
Meanwhile, Ryang Hyun Ryang Ha, consisting of twin brothers Kim Ryang-hyun and Kim Ryang-ha, debuted in 2000 as JYP's first artist duo.
