On the YouTube channel 'HongssunTV', run by Hong Hyun-hee and her husband Jason, a video titled 'Weather Fail' was uploaded.
In the video, Hong Hyun-hee heads straight to the airport right after picking up her son from school, unable to hide her excitement as she mentions, "It's our first trip alone." She chose a warm destination for joint health and planned a short trip from Friday to Sunday.
At the airport, looking somewhat weary, Hong emphasized that the trip was solely for her own time. She explained her husband's absence by saying, "He's not scared of me, but I was worried our child wouldn't feel secure without his dad." She added that she intentionally asked her husband not to come to give him a break, humorously admitting, "Honestly, I wanted to go alone."
However, upon arriving in Guam, they were met with a typhoon warning. Shocked by the strong winds upon arrival, Hong was dismayed by the continuous rain the following day. Despite the bad weather, she tried to stick to her plans, visiting a large supermarket, but was disappointed again when she checked the view from her accommodation.
Facing a building view instead of the ocean, Hong lamented, "I didn't travel much as a child, so I lacked information," and expressed her regret, "I bought a pretty dress to take photos with the view."
The production team's room was ocean-view, which made Hong realize her mistake, saying, "I focused on the lack of carpet," and eventually admitted, "I should have left it to my husband," bringing laughter to the scene.
Despite the gloomy forecast of rain throughout the trip, Hong tried to maintain her positive energy. She joked, "I can't tell if I'm in Guam or a local kids' cafe," and humorously added, "It's just as well, I'll let my tears flow with the rain." Yet, she remained determined to make the most of her time, stating, "Moms shouldn't miss out on these moments." Although her ambitious plan for a break from parenting was thwarted by the weather, Hong's efforts to bond with her son amidst unexpected challenges offered viewers a unique blend of humor and relatability.
