During the 11th episode, Han Seol-ah begins a conversation by serving a carefully prepared porridge to Cha Woo-seok. Cha Woo-seok expresses his gratitude, saying, "Thank you for the meal," to which Han Seol-ah responds, "I often thought about the meals you made for me." She recalls how a warm bowl of rice from Cha Woo-seok helped her stand back up when she was physically and emotionally shattered after a police investigation.
Cha Woo-seok brings up their past breakup, asking, "And yet you told me not to see each other?" Han Seol-ah candidly admits, "I was scared, afraid of what might happen if you stayed by my side."
Cha Woo-seok questions, "Are you not scared anymore?" Han Seol-ah admits, "I'm still scared," but expresses her determination to try again. She recalls Cha Woo-seok's past plea for her not to run away or push him away, but to stay by his side, soothing his complex emotions.
Han Seol-ah proposes, "Let's try to live well together," adding, "I won't say everything will be okay," offering a realistic yet solemn promise. When Cha Woo-seok looks puzzled, Han Seol-ah explains, "We have to live with pain for the rest of our lives, so let's endure it together," promising eternal companionship. Cha Woo-seok responds with a faint smile, urging her to eat, and Han Seol-ah nods, taking a spoonful of porridge, creating a tender atmosphere as they comfort each other's wounds.
