On November 5th, Super Junior held their 20th-anniversary tour concert at the KSPO DOME in Seoul.
During the latter part of the concert, the members interacted with fans throughout the venue. As member Ryeowook approached the audience, some fans surged towards the barrier. When Ryeowook reached out to hold hands with fans in the front row, the barrier gave way under the pressure. Several fans were pulled forward and fell from the stands to the first floor.
Ryeowook, visibly shaken by the incident, turned away, holding his head in his hands, and paused momentarily.
Regarding the incident, SM Entertainment stated, "A safety barrier installed by us on the side of the seating area collapsed, causing three fans to fall and sustain injuries." The agency added, "The injured were immediately taken to the hospital for necessary examinations and treatment. Medical professionals have advised two weeks of rest and treatment for sprains and bruises."
SM Entertainment plans to support the injured fans. The agency expressed, "We deeply apologize to the affected fans and their families. We will support the injured fans' recovery and make every effort to ensure their complete healing." They also acknowledged their responsibility as the concert organizer, stating, "We feel a heavy responsibility for this incident and will ensure thorough safety inspections and audience management to prevent similar incidents in the future."
