On the 6th, Ha Ji-won, who stars in the ENA Monday-Tuesday drama 'Climax', was interviewed at the ENA conference room in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul.
'Climax' depicts the intense survival drama of prosecutor Bang Tae-seop, played by Joo Ji-hoon, who dives into a power cartel to reach the top of South Korea, and those surrounding him. Ha Ji-won plays the role of Choo Sang-ah, Bang Tae-seop's wife and an actress at a crossroads of power and choice.
Previously, at the production presentation, Ha Ji-won garnered attention for her slender appearance, the thinnest since her debut. Regarding this, Ha Ji-won explained, "The director wanted Sang-ah to have a sensitive and meticulously managed actress look, which is why I had to appear slimmer."
The dieting process was not easy. Ha Ji-won recalled, "I have a muscular body type, so losing weight was very challenging. Even a little movement would build muscle, so I tried not to walk much. Instead, I focused intensely on stretching."
She continued, "This is the first time I'm openly discussing my weight. Before filming, I weighed 50kg. However, while preparing for 'Climax', I lost 5kg. Now, I'm working on returning to a healthy state."
'Climax' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 PM.
