Former announcer and broadcaster Kim So-young has shared her overwhelming happiness after welcoming her second child.
On the 5th, Kim So-young posted a photo on her Instagram featuring her newborn son and husband, Oh Sang-jin.
Kim expressed, "I only had one wish for the past year, for the baby to be born healthy, and perhaps that's why I didn't realize how hard the day of meeting him would be." She continued, "While our first child was an unexpected blessing, the second fills me with gratitude to the point of tears." She added, "Even though it's the second time, and I thought I'd be familiar with some parts, the newborn scent after seven years is dizzying, and compared to the learning process of giving love with the first, I'm experiencing falling in love ten times faster this time."
In the photos, Oh Sang-jin is seen holding the tiny baby with his eyes gently closed, feeling the happiness of holding his child. Another photo captures the baby's small head and feet. Given the couple's previous loss, Kim So-young's emotions are even more poignant.
Kim So-young gave birth to her second son on the afternoon of the 3rd. Her agency stated, "Both mother and child are healthy. We ask for much support for the couple as they welcome their new family member."
Kim had announced her second pregnancy last December, revealing she was six months along and expressing her cautious optimism. After overcoming the pain of a miscarriage in October 2023, the couple has received an outpouring of congratulations.
Kim So-young joined MBC as an announcer in 2012 and left in 2017 to pursue a career as a broadcaster and entrepreneur. She married Oh Sang-jin in April 2017.
