On the morning of the 9th, a mini fan meeting was held at DMC Cultural Park in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul, ahead of the first broadcast of the reality show 'WANNA ONE GO: Back to Base'.
Wanna One, an 11-member boy group formed through Mnet's 'Produce 101 Season 2' in 2017, officially disbanded in January 2019. The news of their reunion after seven years heightened anticipation for the reality show.
The rain that started on the night of the 9th continued into the event on the 10th. Despite the inclement weather, fans expressed their unwavering affection for Wanna One. Many fans waited overnight, but upon seeing Wanna One, they radiated happiness without showing any signs of fatigue.
The members of Wanna One appeared in school uniforms reminiscent of their 'Produce 101 Season 2' days, warmly greeting their fans. Although the event was delayed by about 20 minutes due to the rain, fans waited patiently in excitement.
However, Kang Daniel, who is serving in the military, and Lai Kuan-lin, who is overseas, could not attend. Nine members, including Park Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young, and Ha Sung-woon, graced the stage.
Park Woo-jin remarked, "It feels like just a blink since our last concert, yet years have passed. It's incredible and unbelievable to be here now. It would have been perfect without the rain, but even this rain has become a memory. Thank you for coming despite the bad weather and weekday. Let's create more fun times together."
Kim Jae-hwan expressed, "I was worried if many would come in such bad weather, but I'm grateful to see so many here. I hope today is not the end but the beginning. I want to walk together, looking towards eternity, not the end. Please always be with us on that path. I love you."
Ong Seong-wu also shared, "I'm so happy to meet the members and Wannables after a long time. I'm sorry for those who endured the night in this weather. I hope next time we meet indoors in a more comfortable setting," raising expectations for future concerts.
