In this episode, Geum Bara was cooking in Ha Yong-jung's absent mansion when she was startled by a sudden loud noise and thunder, causing her to scream. Shin Ju-shin, who had entered the house unannounced, embraced the terrified Geum Bara from behind, creating a tense atmosphere. Ha Yong-jung returned home to witness this scene, unable to hide his shock, while Geum Bara was startled to realize that it was Shin Ju-shin, not Ha Yong-jung, who had hugged her. Shin Ju-shin casually explained that he acted out of surprise at the noise, but later instructed an investigation into Geum Bara, revealing his duplicitous nature and raising questions about future developments.
The aftermath of the so-called 'brain change' surgery, where the owner of the body changes, was depicted even more brutally. Kim Jin-joo (played by Chun Young-min), who took over the body of Momo (played by Baek Seo-ra), was overwhelmed by the glamorous appearance in the mirror but was haunted by memories of Momo, who had previously mistreated her. This led to uncontrollable self-abuse. Kim Jin-joo ran to the bathroom, mercilessly slapped her own face, which bore Momo's features, and only after becoming a bloody mess did she let out a chilling laugh, revealing her madness. She hurled hateful insults at her reflection and indulged in binge eating, expressing her twisted desire for revenge, leaving viewers in chills.
Meanwhile, Kim Jin-joo continued her bold actions in her life as Momo, especially in her relationship with Shin Ju-shin. Shin Ju-shin entered the bathroom while she was bathing, emphasizing their engagement and urging her not to waste the opportunity gained through the arduous surgery, attempting intimate contact. Kim Jin-joo was thrilled by Shin Ju-shin's touch, denying reality as she fell deeper into her obsession, and their secret meetings soon hinted at a major upheaval with the prospect of pregnancy. The tension peaked as Kim Jin-joo, experiencing severe nausea, was seen secretly purchasing a pregnancy test kit.
Towards the end of the episode, a shocking twist shook the characters' fates. Shin Ju-shin approached Geum Bara, probing her thoughts on the brain change surgery, seemingly plotting another scheme. However, the preview revealed a sudden reversal. Shin Ju-shin, who had slapped Kim Jin-joo while she was eating strawberries, was abruptly arrested by investigators. The police charged him with the murder of Kim Jin-joo, hinting at a massive conspiracy involving Kim Jin-joo's socially dead yet physically alive existence, heightening anticipation for the dramatic narrative to unfold.
