Former 4Minute Star Kwon So-hyun Embarks on Her First Theater Role in 'Jeonghee'
Kwon So-hyun, a former member of the popular girl group 4Minute, has shared her thoughts as she prepares for her debut theater performance. Her former bandmates have also been making headlines: Heo Ga-yoon is reportedly living a new life in Bali, Jeon Ji-yoon has become a web novel writer, HyunA is married to Yong Jun-hyung, and Nam Ji-hyun is thriving as a Pilates instructor.

Kwon will be performing in the play 'Jeonghee' at the Yes24 Stage 3 in Daehangno until June 14. This marks her first foray into theater, a new challenge since her debut.

Ahead of her performance, Kwon expressed through her agency, Cube Entertainment, "I'm nervous about my first play, but I'm also excited to be back on stage after a long time. As a spin-off work, I tried to maintain the original essence while discovering the uniqueness of 'Jeonghee.' Playing dual roles, I prepared to clearly show the changes."

She added, "'Jeonghee' is a work where you can feel the warmth of having someone like Jeonghee by your side. It's a play about discovering the strength to live as an individual, and I hope audiences will watch it with a supportive heart for that transformation process."

'Jeonghee' is a spin-off of the popular 2018 tvN drama 'My Mister,' reinterpreted from the perspective of Jeonghee, who runs an old bar in Seoul's Huigye-dong. It begins in the familiar setting of 'Jeonghee's Bar' and follows how minor cracks can influence a person's timeline.

In the play, Kwon takes on the roles of Ji-an and young Jeonghee, serving as the central axis that intersects the narrative of 'Jeonghee,' delicately portraying the evolving emotional lines.

Kwon So-hyun is also set to star as the lead character Joo-hee in the film 'Tango at Dawn,' which premieres on the 22nd of this month. With her casting in the drama 'Empathy Cells,' she continues to establish her presence as an actress across theater, film, and television.
