Actor Kim Byung-se (63) was moved to tears upon reuniting with senior actress Lee Mi-sook (65) after 30 years.
On the 3rd, a video titled "Reunion with My First Love(?), Meeting the Man from 'Elegy' Again...(Tears vs. Coolness)" was uploaded on the 'Lee Mi-sook_Sooks' Channel.
Upon seeing Lee Mi-sook, Kim Byung-se immediately expressed his overwhelming emotions, saying, "I feel like crying," and shed tears, drawing attention. He wiped his tears with a handkerchief offered by Lee Mi-sook and expressed his deep emotions by saying, "Why do I feel like I'm seeing my mom?" Lee Mi-sook responded coolly, "Why are you suddenly talking about your mom?" eliciting laughter.
The two met for the first time in nearly 30 years since the 1997 SBS drama 'Queen.' During their conversation, Lee Mi-sook complimented Kim Byung-se, saying, "You look good, and your face looks great," to which Kim Byung-se replied, "I have to keep up because my wife is younger." Recently, Kim Byung-se appeared on 'My Ugly Duckling' with his wife, who is 15 years his junior, garnering attention.
Kim Byung-se showcased his youthful appearance despite being in his 60s. He married a jewelry brand CEO, who is 15 years younger, in 2019 and currently resides in Los Angeles, USA. He introduced his wife, who accompanied him to the meeting.
Meanwhile, Kim Byung-se reminisced about his intense first meeting with Lee Mi-sook during his rookie days. He recalled, "Senior Lee Mi-sook personally came to the recording site with the director and writer to cast me," expressing his gratitude for that moment. He also mentioned the 1995 film 'Elegy,' recalling Lee Mi-sook and Kang Moon-young, and testified to the exceptional class of the veteran actors by saying, "I was shocked to see them flawlessly deliver seven pages of script without a single NG."
