Comedian Kim Ji-min recently shared her experience with IVF treatment, revealing she suffered from severe swelling.
On October 2, Kim Ji-min posted on her social media, "To all the moms undergoing IVF, are you wondering if you're the only one experiencing side effects?" along with a photo.
The photo showed Kim Ji-min with a noticeably swollen face, captioned 'Gained 3.5kg in a few days during IVF injections.' She reassured fans with an 'after' photo showing her slim face, stating, 'Lost 4kg right after! Don't worry!'
Kim Ji-min explained, "The changes in my body were shocking. I wondered if this was okay," adding, "Fortunately, I didn't experience facial swelling or breakouts." She confessed, "At the end of the day or after returning home, the sock marks on my legs were alarming."
Expressing gratitude, Kim Ji-min said, "My husband, Kim Jun-ho, massaged me daily until the swelling subsided, which comforted me even if the swelling didn't completely go away." She encouraged other women preparing for IVF, saying, "Let's share our experiences."
Previously, Kim Ji-min and Kim Jun-ho revealed on a broadcast that they were attempting IVF. Kim Ji-min explained, "We tried natural conception, but after consulting, we decided IVF was better for older mothers to ensure healthy cells."
The couple confirmed their relationship in April 2020 and married in July last year. Kim Jun-ho was previously married to actress Kim Eun-young in 2006, but they separated and divorced in January 2018.
