Actress Kim Sa-rang Reveals Shocking Home Renovation Woes on YouTube


Actress Kim Sa-rang has opened up about the shocking state of her home's interior, revealing she was a victim of poor renovation work.

On the 31st, Kim Sa-rang's YouTube channel released a video titled 'Kim Sa-rang Starts YouTube (First Look at Sa-rang's Home).' In the video, Kim Sa-rang shared the story behind the interior renovation of her country house.

Kim Sa-rang began by expressing her frustration, saying, "I don't even know where to start with the interior." She continued, "I was so stressed out by the renovation that I couldn't finish it, and the workers disappeared."

She showed the deteriorated silicone around the large windows due to leaks, stating, "I don't know why, but it kept leaking. After calling another company for repairs, the leaks started on the opposite side." She added, "Initially, I tried to manage the leaks by placing something underneath, even using dog pee pads."

As she toured her home, she pointed out signs of shoddy work, like the unfinished wall next to the living room light switch, where she had to stick paper to cover it. "In winter, the wind comes through," she noted, showing a surprisingly calm demeanor. When the production team remarked on her relaxed attitude, she laughed, "They made me this way. I used to care about interiors, but after all this, I thought, 'If it doesn't affect living, it's fine.' I've become more easygoing."

The video sparked online reactions, with comments like, "Even people with money and fame fall victim to poor construction," and "There are many shady renovation companies out there." Others praised Kim Sa-rang's laid-back charm, saying, "Despite the poor work, she's so easygoing," and "Her imperfect side makes her even more endearing."

Kim Sa-rang debuted as Miss Korea in 2000 and has since appeared in dramas like 'Secret Garden' and 'My Love Eun-dong,' as well as the film 'Love, So Divine.'
