Exciting news for fans of actress Kim Tae-ri as she is set to return to acting.

According to TenAsia's report on the 1st, Kim Tae-ri has been cast as the lead in the trailer for the 22nd Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival. The trailer is directed by Koo Kyo-hwan, drawing significant attention. This marks Kim Tae-ri's return to acting approximately 1 year and 4 months after the conclusion of the tvN drama 'Jeong Nyeon' in November 2024. Fans are eagerly anticipating the charm she will bring to this new project.

Currently, Kim Tae-ri is sharing heartwarming stories as she leads an elementary school drama club in Mungyeong, Gyeongbuk, through the tvN variety show 'After School: Tae-ri's Class.' Her genuine personality, as opposed to a fictional character, has provided healing to viewers, making this acting news even more delightful for her fans.

Previously, the 21st Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival featured a trailer directed by Um Tae-hwa, starring Kim Go-eun and Koo Kyo-hwan, which captured much attention. Notably, Koo Kyo-hwan, who participated as an actor last year, steps into the role of director this time, adding significance to the project.

The Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival made a comeback last year after a four-year hiatus, garnering increased interest. The organizers have not disclosed specific details about the trailer, including its plot, to avoid spoilers, with its release about a month away. The festival representatives told TenAsia, "While we can't reveal detailed information ahead of the trailer's release, we ask for your anticipation of the official content."

The 22nd Mise-en-scène Short Film Festival will take place from June 18 to 23.
